Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 20, 2026 | Last Updated: August 25, 2026
Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Melissa Renae Esthetics LLC ("Melissa Renae Esthetics," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use this website (the "Site") and when you communicate with us.
Melissa Renae Esthetics LLC operates this Site and its studio under the name Minimel Skin.
This Privacy Policy applies to Site-related information only. Third-party services linked from the Site (including booking and retail storefront providers) have their own privacy policies and practices.
Information We Collect
We collect information in three main ways.
Information You Provide Directly
This Site does not currently include account registration, on-site checkout, or contact-form submission.
If you contact us directly by phone, text, or email, we may collect information you choose to provide, such as:
- your name and contact details
- appointment or service-related information
- message content and communication records
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited device and usage information, such as:
- IP address, which our content delivery network and analytics provider receive in order to route requests and derive approximate location; we do not log or retain IP addresses on our own servers
- browser type, operating system, and device information
- referring pages, pages viewed, session timing, and interaction events
- approximate geolocation derived from IP
Information From Third Parties
If you book through GlossGenius or purchase from a Shopify-hosted storefront linked from this Site, those providers collect and process your information under their own terms and privacy policies.
We may receive limited business records from those providers as needed to support appointments, operations, customer service, accounting, and legal compliance.
How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the Site
- measure Site traffic, engagement, and performance
- communicate with you and respond to inquiries
- support appointment and service operations
- publish guest reviews, which may include your first name and, where the review was posted publicly elsewhere, a link to the original
- maintain records for business, accounting, tax, and legal purposes
- detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- enforce our terms, policies, and legal rights
How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information:
- to service providers that perform services for us (for example, analytics, website infrastructure, and communication tools)
- when you choose to use third-party booking or retail providers through links on this Site
- as required by law, subpoena, court order, or legal process
- to investigate, prevent, or act on suspected illegal activity, fraud, or threats to rights, safety, or property
- in connection with a business transaction (for example, merger, sale, financing, or transfer of assets), subject to applicable legal requirements
We may also use and disclose aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you.
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to understand traffic and Site usage.
We configure Google Analytics to disable Google Signals and advertising personalization, so your activity on this Site is not used to build advertising profiles.
Google receives your IP address as part of providing analytics. Google's handling and retention of that information is governed by its own privacy policy, linked below.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.
You can also learn about Google's privacy practices at Google Privacy Policy and manage Google Analytics preferences through available Google tools.
"Sale" and "Sharing" of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for money.
We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under certain U.S. state privacy laws.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") setting. Because there is no uniform industry standard for DNT signals, the Site does not currently respond differently to DNT signals.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operational needs, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and enforcement of agreements.
Retention periods may vary based on data type, context, and legal obligations.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as:
- the right to know or access certain personal information we process about you
- the right to request deletion of certain personal information
- the right to correct inaccurate personal information
- the right to data portability
- the right to opt out of certain processing activities, where applicable
- the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable rights
To submit a privacy rights request, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to evaluate and process your request.
We may need to verify your identity before processing a request and may deny requests where permitted by law (for example, where an exemption applies or verification is not possible).
You may designate an authorized agent to make requests where permitted by law; we may require proof of authorization and direct identity verification.
If your state law provides a right to appeal a denied request, include "Privacy Appeal" in the email subject line and describe the prior request and decision.
Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. The Site is intended to be used by adults age 18 and older.
Services may be provided to a guest under 18 only when a parent or legal guardian accompanies them to the appointment and consents to the service. Where we hold information about a guest under 18, we collect it from and share it with the accompanying parent or legal guardian, who may exercise the privacy rights described below on that guest's behalf.
Geographic Availability
Melissa Renae Esthetics services are offered in the United States.
We take steps to restrict access to the Site from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, including blocking requests that our infrastructure identifies as originating there. Location detection is approximate and can be circumvented, so we cannot guarantee the Site is unreachable from those regions.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page unless a later date is stated.
